The blinking orange light on your HP LaserJet M209dwe printer usually indicates a network or hardware issue. Since your Wi-Fi button is also not working, try these troubleshooting steps:
1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
Since the Wi-Fi button is unresponsive, let's reset the network settings manually:
- Turn on the printer and ensure it's in a ready state.
- Press and hold the Wireless button (⏚ icon) and the Cancel button (X) together for 10 seconds.
- The Wi-Fi light should blink, indicating the network settings are reset.
- Now, try reconnecting your printer to Wi-Fi using the HP Smart app or WPS method.
2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi (Using HP Smart App)
- Download and open HP Smart on your PC or phone.
- Click on "Set up a new printer" and follow the instructions to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.
💡Note: If the HP Smart app cannot detect the printer, try using a USB cable temporarily for setup.
3. Hard Reset the Printer
If the orange light continues blinking after a network reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes to clear any internal errors.
- Press and hold the Power button while plugging the printer back in.
- Keep holding the button for 15 seconds, then release.
- The printer should now reboot—check if the issue is resolved.
