This issue seems related to how the printer detects the new Cyan ink cartridge. Try these steps to resolve it:
Restart & Reset Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds and then plug it back in.
- Turn the printer on and try printing again.
Remove & reinsert the Cyan Cartridge
- Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
- Remove the Cyan cartridge and check:
- Ensure the protective tape is completely removed.
- Inspect for any visible damage or leaks.
- Reinsert the cartridge firmly into its slot.
- Close the access door and check if the error persists.
Clean the Cartridge & Printer Contacts
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the Cyan cartridge again.
- Using a lint-free cloth & distilled water (or isopropyl alcohol):
- Gently wipe the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge.
- Clean the contacts inside the printer where the cartridge connects.
- Let everything dry for a few minutes.
- Reinsert the cartridge, power on the printer, and try printing.
