Hi @amatias05,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like the scan-to-computer function has been disabled on your printer after the update to macOS 15 (Sequoia). Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue.

Check Printer Settings:

  • On your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610, go to the Control Panel on the printer.
  • Select Scan> Scan to Computer.
  • If this option is grayed out or unavailable, you'll need to re-enable it from the printer's settings menu.
  • Ensure that Scan to Computer is enabled on the printer. If it’s disabled, try enabling it.

Re-enable Web Services:

  • Access the printer's web interface by entering its IP address into a browser.
  • Once logged in, go to the Web Services section and make sure that Scan to Email and Scan to Network are enabled. Sometimes these settings get disabled after updates or resets.

Update HP Software on Mac:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Easy Start software installed on your Mac. You can download it from the HP Support website.
  • This software ensures that your Mac communicates properly with the printer, especially after updates.

Enable Scanning from HP Smart:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your Mac.
  • Go to the Printer Settings> Scan Settings.
  • Check if the Scan to Computer option is available and enabled.

Check System Preferences:

  • Open System Preferences> Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 printer.
  • Click Options & Supplies> Utility> Open Printer Utility.
  • Make sure all scan-related options are enabled.

Reconfigure Printer in HP Utility:

  • If none of the above worked, try reinstalling the printer from System Preferences> Printers & Scanners. Right-click the printer and select Reset Printing System, then re-add the printer and check the scanning feature.

After trying these steps, restart both the printer and the Mac to ensure any changes take effect.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
