Welcome to the HP English Community --

DeskJet printers, including this one, require a larger margin along the bottom edge.

Rotating the content simply moves the larger margin requirement to the side.

The larger margin = 12.7mm or 1/2 inch

No - the requirement does not explain a three inch bottom and side margin.

=====================================

Printing - Important -

This printer requires a larger margin along the bottom edge (1/2 inch).

Borderless PrintingNo
Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3 mm

There is no software, firmware, or alignment that changes the larger margin requirement.

The solution to "chopped off" is to keep all data inside of 1/2 inch / 12.7mm on the bottom edge.

This limitation includes all text, images, page numbers, footer information, cells, tables, lines, other notations, and all file types, too.

Create your original document with 12.7mm ( 1/2 inch ) margins.

What else?

Unless the content is rotated, the right edge should not be impacted by the printer hardware limitations.

Right edge printing can be impacted by how the content is printed.

For example, printing from your browser might require that you change the margins from the "default" to capture the right side of the content in the printed page.

Example - Firefox - Document Print - Print Settings

Firefox_Print_Web_Page_7Firefox_Print_Web_Page_7

--------------------------------------------

If the content is printed on much smaller paper, if the content is larger than your paper, or perhaps when printed regular size paper at 2 or more sheets per page,  the margins -- beyond what is required by the hardware -- can be impacted by the application or software used to print the content.

As a first check, use "Shrink to Fit" , "Shrink larger pages" , or similar depending on your app / software.

Note:  HP Smart -- Mobile and / or Windows -- provides a "Fit" type setting.

Example - Adobe Reader - PDF print - Main menu - Properties / Advanced options

PDF_Reader_Main_Menu_Border_7PDF_Reader_Main_Menu_Border_7

What if?

If the problem is a new one and is not related to the hardware or the way the content is printed, decide whether to uninstall / reinstall the printer software on the device you are using (computer, tablet, phone).
