Hi @reshmakham,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "Supply System Problem" message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9720e Wide Format All-in-One Printer typically indicates an issue with the ink supply system. Here are steps you can follow to resolve the issue.

Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 2–3 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on to see if the error clears.

Check Ink Cartridges

  • Open the printer's cartridge access door and inspect the ink cartridges.
  • Ensure all cartridges are:
    • Properly seated in their respective slots.
    • Installed correctly and securely.
    • Free from damage or ink leaks.
  • If a cartridge appears damaged, replace it with a new, genuine HP cartridge.

Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Remove the cartridges and gently clean the gold-colored contacts on both the cartridges and the cartridge holder with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Let them dry for a minute, then reinstall the cartridges.

Reset the Printer

  • Perform a factory reset:
    • Go to the Settings menu on the printer touchscreen.
    • Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Printer Setup, and select Restore Defaults.
    • Confirm to reset the printer to factory defaults.

Update Firmware

  • Ensure your printer is running the latest firmware:
    • Visit HP's support page and download the latest firmware for your model.
    • Install the firmware using your computer.
