Hi @Manmathan
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The printing error "E4" typically occurs on certain Canon printers, and it usually indicates a problem related to the ink or print head. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
1. Check the Ink Cartridges
- Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove and reinsert them to ensure they are seated correctly.
- If any cartridges are empty or damaged, replace them with new ones.
2. Check the Print Head
- If the print head is clogged or misaligned, it can trigger the E4 error. Run a print head cleaning from the printer’s settings menu.
- You can also manually clean the print head using a lint-free cloth and a small amount of water. Be careful not to touch the copper contacts or any of the printer’s internal components.
3. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 10 minutes.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on to see if the error is resolved.
4. Check for Obstructions
- Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper feed or within the printer mechanism that could cause the error.
5. Check for Firmware/Software Updates
- Visit the HP website to check for any firmware updates that might address the E4 error.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
