Hi @Jtg71

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 7155 is stuck on the initialization screen and standard troubleshooting hasn’t worked, here are some additional steps you can try before considering replacement:

1. Hard Reset

  • Unplug the Printer: Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait: Leave it unplugged for at least 60 seconds.
  • Power On: Plug the printer back in and turn it on without reattaching the cartridges. This sometimes allows the printer to reset properly.

2. Check for Any Obstructions

  • Ensure there’s nothing blocking the printer's internal mechanisms. Look for any paper jams or foreign objects that could be causing the issue.

3. Clear Printer Memory

  • With the printer unplugged, press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds. This can sometimes clear the printer’s memory and reset any stuck processes.

4. Try Different Power Sources

  • Plug the printer into a different outlet to ensure it’s receiving sufficient power.

5. Firmware Recovery

  • If the printer still won’t initialize, check the HP website for firmware recovery options specific to your model. Sometimes, manufacturers provide recovery tools for situations like this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
