Hi @vagabondvet,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
When the print queue is frozen and indicates a problem with the printer on your HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-In-One Printer, and the printer control panel shows various lit and pulsing lights, it can be a bit challenging to pinpoint the exact issue. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
Steps to Resolve Print Queue and Printer Attention Issues:
Clear the Print Queue:
- Open Settings> Devices> Printers & scanners.
- Select your HP ENVY Pro 6455 from the list.
- Click on Open queue.
- Right-click on each print job in the queue and select Cancel.
- If the jobs do not cancel, you might need to restart the Print Spooler service.
Restart the Print Spooler Service:
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- In the Services window, scroll down to find Print Spooler.
- Right-click on Print Spooler and select Restart.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check Printer Status and Connections:
- Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Check that there are no paper jams or other physical issues with the printer.
- Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix any printer issues.
Reinstall the Printer Driver:
- Go to Settings> Devices> Printers & scanners.
- Select your printer and click on Remove device.
- Download the latest driver for your printer from the HP Support website.
- Install the driver and add the printer again.
Kindly check the next set of steps in the next post.
