Hi @Joeh32,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the connectivity.
Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.
If your HP DeskJet 2723e All-In-One Printer won't connect to WiFi using an iOS device, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Ensure Printer is Ready for WiFi Setup
- Turn on the printer and make sure it's in a ready state.
- Reset the Network Settings:
- Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer at the same time for 5 seconds until the Power button blinks.
- This will reset the network settings on your printer.
2. Check WiFi Network
- Verify WiFi Network: Ensure your WiFi network is working properly and that other devices can connect to it.
- Check the Router: Make sure your router is within range of the printer and there are no obstructions.
3. Install HP Smart App
- Download the HP Smart app from the App Store on your iOS device.
4. Connect Printer to WiFi Using HP Smart App
- Open HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app on your iOS device.
- Add a New Printer:
- Tap the + (plus) sign or Add Printer option.
- The app will search for printers. Ensure your printer is nearby and powered on.
- Set Up Printer:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your WiFi network.
- When prompted, select your WiFi network and enter the WiFi password.
- The HP Smart app will handle the connection process and notify you once the printer is connected.
5. Manually Connect Printer to WiFi
If the HP Smart app setup fails, try connecting the printer to WiFi manually:
- Enable WiFi Setup Mode:
- With the printer on, press and hold the Wireless button until the Wireless light blinks.
- Connect iOS Device to Printer's WiFi:
- Go to Settings> WiFi on your iOS device.
- Select the printer’s WiFi (it should be something like “HP-Setup-DeskJet-2723e”).
- Open HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your WiFi network.
Kindly check the next set of steps in the next post.
