Hi @MariaDan,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Let's try to troubleshoot the issue with your HP Deskjet Plus Ink Advantage 6000 series printer. The fact that the "i" (information) button is on and documents remain in the queue suggests there might be a communication or software issue. Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide to help you resolve this problem:

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide

1. Clear the Print Queue

  • Go to Settings> Devices> Printers & scanners.Select your HP Deskjet Plus Ink Advantage 6000 printer and click Open queue.Right-click on each job and select Cancel to clear the print queue.

2. Restart the Printer and Computer

  • Turn off the printer.Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Restart your computer to ensure there are no pending software issues.

3. Check Printer Connection

  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.Try using a different USB port on your computer.Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.Print a network configuration page to verify the connection status.

4. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to Control Panel> Programs> Programs and Features.Find and uninstall any HP printer software.
  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.Enter your printer model number and download the latest drivers.Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.

6. Check Printer Status and Settings

  • Go to Settings> Devices> Printers & scanners.Select your HP Deskjet Plus Ink Advantage 6000 printer and click Manage.
  • Click Set as default. In the Printers & scanners menu, make sure your printer status is set to Ready and not Offline.

7. Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update.Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

8. Check for Software Conflicts

  • Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer.Try printing a document to see if it resolves the issue
  • Make sure there are no other printer management programs or drivers installed that might conflict with the HP drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
