Exact same problem here on my father's Windows 8.1 Tablet.
Here's what does work:
- Printing directly via USB connection on the Windows 8 device.
- Any local computer (Macs & PCs) running anything but Windows 8 can find and print to the Envy via wireless connection.
We've already addressed the following troubleshooting tips:
- Ran the Print & Scan Doctor application.
- Uninstalled/Resinstalled the printer software and correct, updated drivers (5+ times).
- Power cycled the printer & the tablet.
- The printer has a Static IP Address, outside of our router's default DHCP range.
- All Windows Recommended and Important Updates have been installed.
I know the issue is not solely a Windows 8 thing, but an Envy issue as well; I'm running Windows 8 at my office computer and can print to our HP Officejet via network connection fine.
