Thank you for the reply.  I see you threw all the "Kitchen Sink" responses from the HP Self Service page.  I will entertain you with my replies:

How far is the printer located from the WiFi router?

Not using WIFI using Ethernet   I guess I should have put that in the original post

Do you have a dual-band router?

Not Applicable, see answer above

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details.

Is it just my imagination but you provided a "dead link" for the steps to give exact info.  Never fear I know how to read things and here is my exact model

HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 purchased from Costco
Real Model number: D9L18-80113 Rev D

As for the other things you talk about such as "draining power" have done that multiple times based on articles posted all over these forums and like other folks it never solves the problem .

No new firmware is available for this printer.

I would post the entire network page of the printer but you may know that IPv6 addresses are "public" so I am going to obfuscate the first 64 bytes so hackers don't try to attack my network.  I did assign a static IP address for IPv6 on the printer just to tide thing over but I usually use a DHCP reservation for static addresses because you never know when the ISP will change IPv6 prefix delegations:
