I have had an OfficeJet 8500 A910a printer for a couple of years now. I tried printing with the duplexer when I first got it and it jammed. Thought I was doing it wrong, but since I very seldom printed on both sides, I did not worry about it. I have more things to print double-sided now, and have tried using the duplexer more. However I have -never- been able to get it to print the second page (flip side), without jamming. Duplex printing -always- jams. The rollers are fine, I am using 20-lb paper, and I have tried both "short edge" and "long edge" duplex settings. I thought I saw an article someplace that many of these printers shipped with a defective cog. Does anyone know if this is the case, or if there is some other technique or way to work around this problem. Wish I had pressed this issue when it was under warranty. Any assistance welcome!
