The setup cartridges that came with my printer, an HP ENVY 6455e, did not work during printer setup. I bought brand new, official HP 67XL black and tri-color cartridges from Office Depot to see if those would work. Because this printer does not have a screen, only buttons, you have to use the HP Smart App or the EWS (embedded web server) to set up the printer. Despite installing brand new cartridges, I am still getting a flashing E0 message on the printer light display, and when I check HP Smart or EWS, it says that the new cartridges I installed are full, but that I need to use the set up cartridges. However, I have already thrown those away because I thought they were broken and or came broken.
I really need to print ASAP.
HP Support, can you help me bypass the "Use SETUP cartridges" message I am getting? The printer is brand new as are the 67 XL cartridges. I spent a lot on this and everything is still under warranty.
