Hi,
I recently purchased the Envy 5530. I installed the drivers and software directly from the internet after the CD prompted me to do so. I am using Vista. The problem is that I can't print 4X6 pictures properly. I am using Windows photo gallery. What happens is that only a zoomed upper left hand portion of the picture prints on the 4x6 paper when I try to print the whole picture. I am using HP advanced photo paper, glossy. I called HP support and they told me I need to select 600 dpi in the print quality options, but there is only a "normal" and "best" options. I attached a screen shot of what I am offered on the print screen. They said I might have corrupt driver, so I deleted the print driver and software, rebooted and reinstalled. Didn't work. I installed the drivers on a fresh windows reinstall. Didn't work. There are no other printers installed except for Microsoft xps document writer. HP wanted to install a deskjet driver for a whole different print (66xx something or other, can't recall), which I did and that worked (I was able to select the 600 dpi option), but I want a everything to work with just the envy 5530 driver. HP support said she was able to see the 600 dpi option on the quality drop down meny on her end for the Envy 5530.
The picture is attached which shows what I am dealing with. I aligned the printer and used the HP print and scan doctor. It's aligned and the doctor said everything was fine.
Please help! This is driving me crazy.
