How Can I Get the OfficeJet 8710 to Print on a 260gsm Photo Paper?

Hi,

How can I get the OfficeJet 8710 to grab/feed a 260gsm photo paper? It can print on smaller photo papers at 260gsm however, when it's A4 size, I just hear a screech when the rollers are skidding on the glossy part of the paper. When I accidentally loaded the paper to print on the matte side, the printer was able to print although at a very poor quality obviously. That confirms that the weight of the paper is no problem.

Here are the things I have already done.

• Checked the firmware and it's at the latest version already.
• Tried printing using the JPEG version but to no avail.
• Tried printing using a photo post-processing software but it wouldn't grab the paper as well.
• Set both the programme and the printer to the thickest photo paper possible but still it wouldn't grab the paper
• Placed a 300gsm card underneath the 260gsm paper to help feed the latter.

Note: This problem is present on both Windows 10 64-bit and Linux HPLIP.
