Deskjet 3050 small part found no idea where it goes

My cat mangled my printer overnight. I attached the back flap, which the paper lies against, and the front flap, where the paper comes out. I have a small piece leftover, and have no idea where it belongs. It is about2" long, looks like a check mark, has a small railing halfway up the back, and on the corner of the check mark, there is a "c" to attach to a rod, and at the tip of the checkmark, there is a smaller "c". Also, on the top of the long checkmark arm, there are 2 short poles, that are to be inserted into tiny holes.
I would post a pic if I could, but I have described this piece as best I can.
