After upgrading to OS X Mavericks and completing the following steps, I am still unable to print to my home printer (HP Photosmart All-in-One C309g-m):
1. Rebooted the computer
2. Deleted the printer and reset the printing system
3. Installed HP driver v. 4.1.2.
4. Reset the printing system again.
5. Turned off and rebooted the router
The router and the printer are fine as I can print wirelessly to it using my wife's macbook pro that is still running OS X Lion. I can see the printer's status information (idle, good, ink levels, model/serial, etc.) on my laptop in the HP Utility software only when I add the printer back in manually using IP address, but I can't print to the printer. In the HP Utility, if I try to add the printer using the HP auto wireless connect it does not recognize the printer ... just spins. In the Printer & Scanner preferences in OS X, if I try to print ... I get a "printer is not responding error". If I delete the IP added printer address, reset the printing system and try to add a printer ... no nearby printers are recognized nor pop up on the "Default" tab window.
