I seem to have the same problem as posted above.
- Reinstalling the HP driver, including printer firmware update, did not help (following the guide provided above).
- Using the default MS driver does not help, as there are even less options than in the case of HP driver (definitely no b&w / color option).
Similar issue seems to have been there for quite some time (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/HP-Deskjet-4535-No-option-to-print-in-color/td-p/6311671). The historical solution was to revert to old drivers, which is unfortunately not the option for me, as I do not have the original driver CD.
