I recently installed Word 2016 (Office 365 subscription) and am attempting to print one document consisting of 2 pages, duplex-ed. Under Print command the option of "Print both sides" is not available except manually re-inserting the page that is printed. This issue never occurred with World 2013. I am getting a message that says Word cannot retrieve all the print setting from the printer and is not connected to the printer. All these issues are arising from updating Office. The printer is working fine when printing within Adobe Acrobat.
This functionality is also lost with Excel 2016 so the issue is with Office 2016. I tried the same printing parameters with a spreadsheet where page 1 and 2 would print front to back. I get the option to do so on the print page but the functionality does not go to the printer. I still get two separate pages printed on one side, not one page printed on both sides.
This is definitely a loss of printing functionality with Office 2016 versus the previous version.
Is the shortfall with Microsoft or should we expect a set of updated drivers for HP?
In the meantime, I want my functionality back.
