Hello HP:
I get 59.F0 error. It suggests I turn the printer off and back on. I’ve done that many, many times but the printer does not boot up.
In the initializing process it gets to where it says “5/6". You hear the initializing sound. Then the sound stops and the little window gives the 59.F0 error message. It’s been 3 days now that I can’t print. The window says to contact customer service. So I am.
I did not unplug the electrical cable because I am afraid I will lose my network settings for the other computers set up to print on the cp4025n(3 other laptops).
My printer is an hp color laserjet cp4025n.
Product number: cc489A
My computer: Windows 7 Professional; service pack 1. 64 bit operating system.
My computer is connected through the cloud with my laptop. I haven’t printed from that laptop in weeks, maybe longer.
The cp4025n is plugged into my computer with a usb cable. The printer’s electrical cable is plugged into a surge protector (along with other items).
History:
Up until several months ago the printer has functioned trouble free. Then the difficulties started. The magenta toner (I use genuine hp) leaked all over the place and messed up the printing. There was still a lot of toner left in the cassette but I changed to a new one cuz of leakage.
Things were fine for awhile.
Then about 6 weeks ago +-, the paper started jamming. When I’d print a document with several pages, the printer would send an extra sheet of paper through and that paper would jam. Finally it pretty much stopped.
The pages started to print with streaks. To stop that, I needed to change the toners (cyan, yellow and black) and did so a few weeks ago. But the streaking persisted. I discovered how to make a cleaning sheet and every day or 2 I make a cleaning page to try to get rid of the streaks. Then, maybe last week, I went in to each toner space (removed the toner) and cleaned inside. The cavities were pretty clean except the yellow which had toner all over the place. I wiped up as well as I could.
Then the paper started jamming again.
In the same days my husband would print from my computer to his printer. I don’t see the connection, but just after doing one of those, the error massage came on--but I think there was a paper jam first.
I can’t think of any new software added, though from somewhere Xmarks (which I think was there before) started with an annoying popup. Does that mean it updated?
I haven’t added new drivers to the printer cuz I don’t want to fiddle with it and make a mistake.
I don’t want to have to buy a new printer yet.
Can you help me?
Thanks
