Endless Printing HP Envy 4500

My HP Envy 4500 has a problem of continuing to print even after I have cancalled a pinting job for my laptop.
I often have to go to my printer and cancel the print upwards of three or four times to stop it from wasting my ink and paper. 
It does not matter if the document is written or images, it will continue to print unless I remove the paper from the tray or turn the printer off entirely.

Just now it would not stop printing images so I had to unplug my printer to stop it trying to print the same thing for the 5th time.

I don't have my printer set to automatically make multiple copies of anythin but it seemingly never understands when a printing job is over and keeps going.
