Thanks for the response. Please see the steps below that may quickly resolve the issue. Let me know how it goes.
1. Completely remove the printer software that is installed from programs(if you are not able to remove from programs, I will send the steps for an uninstall from the disk used)
2. Download the updated drivers from Here (click + beside driver, then download next to full feature software)
3. Run installation-Note: do not connect USB cable until prompted
4. Test functionality
