Wouldn't it be easier and more customer-friendly if these tips/solutions would be commonly shared here in stead of just to one person individually via PM??
I mean, this problem is occuring in a larger scale than just a "Monday-morning model", so some troubleshooting advice would be greatly appreciated...
I (also) just purchased 3 new cartridges and I received this 'fake paper jam' just a few months after the 2-year warranty expired.
This is not a cheap machine that you can easily 'dump' after only 2 years of occassional operational service.
I think it's a missed opportunity that HP has not taken the time, liberty of responsibility to offer some kind of assistance for this problem.
Personally, HP has lost a lot of trust, value and empathy lacking a satisfying customer service and having products in this kind of price range with these kind of issues...
In my country I can't even contact HP via e-mail when the warranty expired, while most other companies are at least available (online and offline) for help, tips, assistance and so on!
Although I have been using my HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A Plus with great satisfaction and admiration, it's quite unclear if I'll ever buy a HP-product again if there's no improvement with:
- the service expiring with the warranty (I would suggest repairs by HP technicians at cost price)
- the ability to reach some kind of assistance online
- (and last but not least) quality products perform correctly longer than within the warranty period 'by default'.
If anyone has some useful tips on finally solving MY ánd other people's fake paper jam reports on the HP OfficeJet 8500-series, please don't hesistate to add your replies...
