I have owned this printer for less than 1 year and have honestly lost track of how many times it has gone offline (for reasons unknown) and have lost what remaining patience I had in attempting to figure out how to get it back online or out of the idle mode! I've uninstalled and reinstalled more times than I've planned birthday parties (I know...you shouldn't be doing). I am in no way tech savvy...simply a mom trying to print off the occasional item and run a small business from my home. I have scoured the HP messages and responses for what seems to be a very common problem and simply want someone to spell it out (please don't require me to print it...because that is why I'm here posting for help) in simple, easy to understand and more importantly easy to complete instructions :) Advice experts have indicated you should set something outside of "the range" and when I attempt to go that route (according to the HP 7520 touchscreen) the wording isn't the same and what I'm looking for isn't there (verbatim) and I get even more frustrated trying to complete the process in my "guessing " mode!
Why, in today's day of technology isn't there a simple little button that one can click that puts a printer back online (kind of like slapping someone in the head for being stupid)? Why should I be cursed with having to learn how to become tech savvy to operate a wireless printer (I consider myself pretty smart)? I opted for wireless due to hating the cables and cords! Are all brands of wireless printers this frustrating? I simpply want to fix this issue once and for all and return to my happy state rather than sit for hours (again) trying to figure this out!!
