After performing all of the troubleshooting step repeatedly ($100 worth of ink and paper), I called the help line. I was told that the solution was to throw the printer away and buy another one. The printer is 2 years old and has been used only moderately. Very disappointed with this suggested solution but will follow the recommendation. It just won't be another HP. Sad - after 20 years of being a repeat HP printer/ink/paper and HP desktop/laptop computer customer to get this level of service. Since I am upgrading a home desktop, two student laptops and a personal use laptop over the next three months, I now have a great opportunity to almost completely 'rebrand'.
