Welcome to the HP Support Forums! :) I see when you wife is trying to print to her HP Photosmart D110a, the printer goes thorugh all the motions of attempting the print and then nothing.
I would like you to start here and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor- It was designed by HP to provide users with the troubleshooting and problem solving features needed to resolve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan products connected to Windows-based computers.
Let me know the findings, if you are still experiencing the issue please let me know the following:
1. What is the current Operating system, Windows or Mac and which version?
2. Do you see the print job go into the print queue and then disappearing, or does it sit there idle?
