i have an officejet 8600. When it is not being used it goes offline which puts us into a loop of troubleshooting the offline and being able to print only to try to print at a later time and the printer showing offline on the computer. This occurs on both Mac nd Widows systems. Given this issue I would not recommend thid printer to anyone because spending 30 minutes troubleshooting and reinstalling, etc so that you can print each time is not acceptable. Is there a settintg that needs to be set so that the printer is available whenever the user wants to print?
