Since the Print and Scan Doctor has not been able to resolve the issue, I would suggest trying to install an alternate print driver. I have included the document 'Installing the Printer with an Alternate Driver in Windows 7 for a USB Cable Connection'. You can install an alternate driver without having the printer USB connected, and the driver that you do want to install is the Deskjet 9800.
Please let me know if you are able to print, or not, after installing the alternate driver. :)
