I bought this printer first of December 2013. Has NEVER worked right. Spent over 3 hours on the phone with HP Support Associate who was not able to help.
I wirelessly print everything; it's just easier.
For some reason, everything that I try and print from my laptop (which is an HP 255 purchased August 18, 2013 Windows 8.1) gives an error message half way through the printing process. The error message is a blue box in the upper right corner of the screen. If I try and print 10 pages, it prints anywhere from 4-6 pages and shows an error message and stops printing. THe error message says something close to "Error Printing on HP Envy 4500 Series (N... The printer couldn't print (and then it lists the name of the document I'm trying to print)
It's the same process no matter what I'm trying to print. Word, Excel, Section of a Website, PDF, etc, etc, etc. I have not noticed a trend as far as it will print certain things and will not print other things.
It does not do this with my cell phone or the ipad. However, i rarely print from my phone or the pad.
I can't tell you how aggravating this is and I am praying someone can help.
I'm a full time student and am in desperate need of a fully functioning printer and laptop. So far, both the lap top and printer have become duds!!!!
Things already tried:
1) the obvious (install and uninstall) (turn off computer and printer, restart)
2) HP support (they updated all drivers and uninstalled and reinstalled)
Advice?
